The purpose of this workshop is to teach students how to write a professional cover letter and/or resume that is appropriate for the position they are applying for.

Recognize the essential elements of cover letters and resumes that employers use and require. 
 
Discover how to effectively and succinctly promote your education and experience in a cover letter and/or CV.

Recognize the many interview formats that companies might use.
 
Find out the best ways to get ready for an interview, including outfit suggestions.

Recognize behavioral interviewing and learn how to be ready for common interview questions.

Connecting Majors to Careers Workshop

If students are unclear about their major or career objectives, this program teaches them what to do next. When thinking about their job alternatives, students will also learn about resources.

 
Evaluate and comprehend one's values, interests, and abilities in relation to majors and jobs.
 
Learn about common misconceptions (and realities) regarding majors and jobs, as well as what companies are searching for when they fill open positions.

LinkedIn is used by most employers for hiring. Students will get knowledge about LinkedIn's worth and function in networking and job hunts. Professional headshots will also be taken by a Student Affairs Marketing photographer during the workshop.
